SUDZERØ large and small sachets are certified as OK Home Compostable by TUV Austria.

Sachet labels are certified as industrially compostable. In our search for the most circular packaging options, we discovered that many paper labels are sold as biodegradable, but they often contain non-biodegradable adhesives, inks or coatings. SUDZERØ labels are uncoated and use a biodegradable adhesive that is OK Compost certified under EN 13432.

In addition, SUDZERØ refill packs use compostable polybags to keep the sachets dry.

SUDZERØ sachets and primary packaging are 100% plastic and microplastic free using:

• 100% compostable sachets and labels

• Compostable polybags

• Cardboard packs made from repurposed cardboard with uncoated paper labels.

• Reused cardboard boxes and void fill for cases.

Because this is a tear and pour product rather than a soluble sachet, no dissolved paper or microplastics are used that could block dispensers or get washed down the sink.

*This list does not include SUDZERØ plastic foaming bottles that come with B2B sample packs and home packs. We found a bottle that offers the best foaming experience and that can be reused again and again. We are working hard to explore more sustainable options, such as bottles containing recycled plastics or glass.

*SUDZERØ B2B starter packs also include plastic 5L containers however these are repurposed from other Amplify Goods soap products.

SUDZERØ hand wash is made with 99% naturally derived ingredients which are given on the SUDZERØ page.

The Super Eco powder is 94% naturally derived. The 6% of ingredients that are not naturally derived are Sodium Benzoate (preservative) and Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate (foamer, cleanser) which are at least part derived from petrochemicals.

When diluted with water (100% natural) this takes the total %NOI to 99.9%.

Backed by a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), SUDZERØ is estimated to deliver over 84% carbon savings compared to traditional liquid alternatives.

SUDZERØ 5x large sachet refill pack offers:

• A carbon footprint of 6.21 kg CO2 eq

• An 87.71% carbon saving compared to 20L ready-to-use liquid soap in 5L HDPE containers.

SUDZERØ home pack (12 small sachets and foaming bottle) offers:

• A carbon footprint of 1.6 kg CO2 eq

• An 84.92% carbon saving compared to ready-to-use liquid soap in single use plastic bottles.

SUDZERØ cuts emissions across the entire lifecycle, from raw materials and manufacturing to transport and end-of-life.

SUDZERØ uses reused and repurposed materials for it’s pack and case boxes.

Pack boxes are uniquely cut from repurposed cardboard by [rebox.eco®], a small business based here in the UK.

Like many of our products, SUDZERØ cases are packed in reused cardboard boxes including Oddboxes. We proudly work with reuseabox for our reused cardboard.

For SUDZERØ large sachet refill packs we use:

• Repurposed cardboard boxes from rebox.eco (50g each)

• Repurposed box from reuseabox (500g) for cases

• Reused cardboard void fill ( 200g) including cardboard left over from cutting bottle and bracket wraps, which are cut from repurposed layer card

• 15 cases of 40 packs on a pallet = 7.5 kg reused case box + 3 kg reused void fill card + 30 kg reused pack boxes = 40.5 kg reused material per pallet.

• Or 67.5 g of reused materials per pack.

And it doesn’t have to stop there. Please reuse our boxes again!

We use upcycled ingredients wherever possible such as upcycled olive stone granules in our exfoliating Solidarity Bar Soaps.

SUDZERØ’s formulation uses upcycled Pentylene Glycol, from sugar cane waste, specifically bagasse, the pulp left after extracting juice from sugar cane.

We also turn a lot of low value waste cardboard into great packaging but hand or laser cutting into bespoke packaging.

Our AG1205 container is made of aluminium and reused already, and reusable over and over, and then recyclable.

Our 5L containers are returnable - please only do this if you are near London to ensure carbon saving. We’ll clean and sanitise and upcycle to make the 4L Sudzero Suds Shaker that can be used over and over!

Foaming soaps use less water in use that the liquid alternative. Research in the UK showed that ‘water consumption during hand washing can be reduced by between 16% and 45% by simply using foam soaps rather than traditional liquid/lotion soaps’ (Deb Foaming Handwash Article – Content Plan).

In-use dose for SUDZERØ was assumed to be 1ml of foaming soap per wash, compared to 2ml doses for liquid soap, meaning SUDZERØ should last for twice as many washes as the liquid alternative.

Based on this, each large sachet provides 4050 doses of handwash, so a refill box is enough to wash your hands 20,250 times.

Each small sachet provides 355 doses of handwash, so a box is enough to wash your hands 4260 times. This is roughly enough for a family of four to wash their hands 3x per day for 365 days. When you eventually run out, you can reorder a box of sachet refills and keep creating suds for good!
